A Kick-off Event to Launch Our Network for Adults

The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles’ Network for Adults will help connect adults with epilepsy who want to come together for mutual support and sharing, to learn more and to exchange information. 

The Network will kick-off with its first launch event, a Dinner & Dance Gala on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Dockweiler Beach in Los Angeles. Purchase tickets here!

Epilepsy Retreat (All Ages)
All Ages Welcome for Outdoors Fun at Camp Tumbleweed

We are planning a day for everyone -- children, teen, adults, and families to enjoy outdoors activities and connect with other individuals affected by epilepsy:

• For Shining Stars & their Families: Families of children with epilepsy can enjoy a day at camp, a kind of family retreat. Parents get to meet other parents and learn from each other and from the presentations, siblings get connected with other siblings, and children with epilepsy get to make friends with their peers.  
• For our Shining Star Teens: Teens with epilepsy are invited to an adjoining campground to hang-out with their peers, try some rock-climbing, sports, swimming, and team building activities.  
• For our Adult Network: Adults with epilepsy are invited to retreat to this woodsy canyon and enjoy a day away to embrace a new challenge, like rock climbing or challenge course, to swim, to create, and to learn, while being with your peers.

An Exclusive Shining Stars Event 

This summer activity is exclusively offered to Shining Stars on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are a Shining Star and you wish to bring a parent, please let us know in advance. Additional family members are invited based on available space. More information will be announced in July, so save the date and please stay tuned!
